Step 1. Go to mydrive.tomtom.com, and log in to your TomTom account.
Step 2. Click the planned route in the menu bar on the left side.
Step 3. Plot your starting point and destination by searching for the addresses or points of interest.
Step 4. MyDrive will give a default route plan with the fastest and most efficient path between point A and point B by clicking FASTEST. Another option is THRILL, which is a more interesting route.
Step 5. Once you are on the THRILL option you can set how winding or hilly the route will be.
Step 6. When you have set the route, you can add stops by clicking on any point on the map you want to stop and clicking ADD STOP.
Step 7. You can also modify your route by holding the left mouse button on any point of your route and dragging it across any point or road you want to drive through.
Upload and share your route created on MyDrive with the TomTom Road Trips community. Any members can look at the routes uploaded to roadtrips.tomtom.com to find inspiration for their road planning or to pick one that they can use. To share the route on Road Trips, simply select it under MyRoutes, click the toggle switch: Publish on TomTom Community Routes.
Before publishing your route, make sure to have the following information: photo, description and relevant tag for your route. It will make your route relevant and stand out. When you are done with your presentation, click Save & Publish. Now other members can find, rate, and use your route on roadtrips.tomtom.com.
You also share the route you have created onMyDrive via social media by sending the links directly or downloading it as a .gpx file and transferring it manually. The easiest way to do it is by selecting MyRoutes and clicking Share Route.
Share your route on Twitter, Facebook, and default email or click on the link icon to copy the address to the clipboard.
Download the route on your computer and share it manually or import it to your navigation program or device. Just click on the Download button and it will directly save the file as a .gpx file on your computer.
